Palisade is located in the heart of Colorado’s wine country on the Western Slope. It’s only about fifteen minutes east of Grand Junction. The downtown features several blocks of shops and restaurants, with plenty of lodging around town and the motto Life tastes good here. Palisade’s climate is relatively mild by Colorado standards. The town sees 14 inches (360 mm) of snow each year and 10 inches (250 mm) of precipitation on average. Palisade is known for its peach orchards and wine vineyards.
